Founded in 1955 by Roger Aylett, Aylett Nurseries is a multi-award-winning garden centre located on the south side of St Albans in Hertfordshire.
The business stocks a huge variety of plants, shrubs and trees, along with garden equipment, landscaping materials, pots, planters and gifts. But Ayletts is best known for their stunning dahlias, which have received 42 Gold Medals at Royal Horticultural Society shows.
These days, no garden centre is complete without a tempting food offering, and Seasons Café provides exactly that in attractive surroundings with a courtyard garden. The name reflects gardening through the seasons as well as the changing and varied menu.
For early starters, there’s a delicious breakfast menu including hearty baps, pastries, pancakes and eggs benedict. Lunch brings a selection of light bites, salads, soups, sharing platters and homemade puddings. And, of course, there’s plenty of cake, cream teas, smoothies, single origin coffee and speciality teas.
There really is something for everyone, with friendly table service in a tranquil setting surrounded by beautiful plants and flowers.
Keen to cater for different dietary requirements and lifestyle choices, the team at Ayletts use Menu Guide to support allergen management. Their online and printed menus have a clear allergen statement and a custom QR code with the café branding so that customers can view and sort menu items as needed.
